Overview
We invite those highly motivated and
seriously interested in learning the sacred healing techniques
of the indigenous Kichwa (Quichua) shamans
to Ecuador to partake in this unique course. During 10
days, the participants visit the camps of
four powerful shamans and experience
their Ayahuasca ritual (four ceremonies in total).
They also receive the energy of four "places of power"
where the spirits give powerful teachings and where shamans
have been initiated for thousands of years.
The course is designed for those who
are in the process of learning the methods of shamanic healing,
and would like to experience authentic ayahuasca rituals,
as conducted by the indigenous yachak ("those
who know"), learn practical shamanic skills and receive
energy transfers for protection and empowerment. The course
helps the participants to be more ready to work with the plants
safely on their own or to be able to perform their own healing
cermonies. The course provides participants with options of
studying under an indigeonus shaman.
The course leader
This
course will be lead by Jan *rayu rumi* (the
stone of the lightning) who has been stuying and practicioning
ayahuasca shamanism in Ecuador past 2 years. Jan has been
studying under several powerful Secoya, Kichwa and non-indigenous
shamans. As a founder of the Feather Crown project, Jan has
been working extensively as an organizer of ayahuasca ceremonies,
retreats and shamanism courses. After receiving the blessing
of the leading authorities of the shamans in the region of
Napo in the Amazon, he started leading ayahuasca ceremonies
in both Ecuador and Europe. Jan is a patient teacher keen
on sharing everything he has learned. Thanks to many connection
and ongoing apprenticing with the Kichwa shamans, Jan is a
perfect gate to the Kichwa shamanism. He has a friend-to-friend
relationship with all the shamans of the course and will be
your not only your teacher and tanslator, but also a friend-in-need
and the source of positive energy.

Ayahuasca
For the ceremonies, each shaman uses
fresh and strong Ayahuasca brew which allows participants
to go deeply into the shamanic trance for contacting
spirits and learning. We make sure all participants are satisfied
with the strenght of the brew and we are ready to serve more
medicine to those who need it.
Ceremonies and shamans
For the program we have carefully chosen
four powerful shamans from the Kichwa (Quichua)
tribe, true "curanderos" on a healing path. We believe
that, among the hundreds of shamans in the Napo Province in
Ecuador, those are the most interesting, because of their
special powers and their willingness to share knowledge with
visitors from abroad. We will be speaking with each of the
shamans about their lives, how they apprenticed, and how they
work. The ceremonies are very intensive, sometimes lasting
till the morning.
Personal work with the shaman
The group is limited to six
participants only, which ensures that everybody gets
enough attention from the shaman. Each of the shamans will
work individually on your energetical body during the ceremony.
By blowing into your head crown and hands they will infuse
you with shamanic power. Shamans are open for counselling
and give personal recommendations useful for the development
of your shamanic skills. The maestros will put you in touch
with their spirit helpers and cleanse you from energies which
would block the progress on your path.
Work on sacred power places
Weather permitting, the participants
travel to several places of power for shamanic work: Majestic
waterfall, sacred rocks with ancient shamanic petroglyphs,
bank of the fast-flowing river, underground caves, springs
and huge trees in the forest. One of the ceremonies might
take place inside of a sacred cave. We have special deals
with owners of private properties and we are allowed to enter
turist-free sacred places for all-day work.
Bathing in vapors, extra plant medicines
Those will be prepared for you to purify
your body and to contact spirits of the nature. Also extra
plant medicines will be prepared for you to drink to make
you stronger and healthier.

an option to arrange more work with one of the shamans, or
to meet different shamans living in the area. It is also possible
to organize more trips to sacred places or ceremonies with
Tobacco or the sacred cactus San Pedro.

The ceremonies take place on the home
ground of the shamans, within the Kichwa communities,
where accomodation is prepared (usually consists of matresses
